The woman who proved that success is the best revenge. She made us all proud by taking India to the global platform, winning hearts and accolades. Former Miss World, Priyanka Chopra is the one actress who improved over time, making a natural and lively presence on screen. She started with a bumpy career earning criticisms from nuke and corner for her plastic faced acting. Since the 2008 film fashion, Priyanka entered the mainstream as one of the best actresses of her generation.
Her national award winning performance, mere words can’t describe how brilliant she was in her role. The movie depicts the painful reality of models in a male dominated industry. She pulled it off easily and the climax makes this movie worthy of the rating and she nailed it!
Bajirao Mastani (2015)
Remember the dialogue “Aapne humara ghuroor cheen liya”…? The one that came crashing into hearts and finally Bajirao is convinced of his wrong deed by marrying Mastani over Kashi’s broken heart. Priyanka delivers an award-worthy performance and she was so good that she is worthy of lifting the Mjolnir (nah! joking).
Priyanka plays an autistic girl named Jhimil. Her chemistry with Ranbir Kapoor is dynamic. She deglamed herself and looked completely different on-screen. For few seconds there I forgot that it is Priyanka Chopra in that role.
Priyanka plays the sister of a gangster who is love with Guddu (Shahid Kapoor). While the movie in Shahid Kapoor and Amol Gupte’s favor, Priyanka stole the show in her available time. Her comic timings, dry sense of humor, Marati speech and emotional outbursts are done at ease.
Although her casting was controversial, Priyanka has a tremendous presence in this biopic of the Indian boxer Mary Kom.
Priyanka plays the role of a villain. This role earned her several recognition including the fact that she brought to Rakesh Roshan’s notice after which she was cast in Krrish. She plays Sonia, a woman who desires wealth and fame. She falsely accuses Raj of sexually harassing her. Then follows the game where Raj is looking for redemption and justice.
And last but not the least…
Priyanka added the essence of India in American television with her profound portrayal of Alex Parrish, an FBI agent accused of terrorism. The role earned her people choice award and won her popularity amidst the audience.
Now off to do season 2
Well done Priyanka ❤ ❤ 😀
