Top 10 All-Time Great Performances By Tom Hanks

One of the greatest actors of his generation, the youngest recipient of AFI life achievement award and two-time academy award winner. 😀 Tom Hanks never failed to please the audience with his versatile acting and charming appearance. His charisma and ability to blend into any role makes him peerless; with deep impression in the history of Hollywood. He’s done great films with great directors backed by a poignant screenplay and proficient crew. He is also one of my most favorite actors in Hollywood. Here are top 10 roles of Tom Hanks 🙂

1. Chuck Noland, Cast Away (2000)

It was the one year that pissed me off as he wasn’t given the academy award for best actor for his role as Chuck Noland in cast away. Hanks plays a FedEx employee who survives a plane crash and ends up in a remote island. He has to use very single skills he knows to cope up with physical and psychological problem he face alone in the island. Tom Hanks had to go through physical and mental preparation for the role. Not every actor has the ability to make the screen time a great experience as the only presence. And… not everyone can make people cry over a volley ball 😀

2. Robert Langdon, The Da Vinci Code (2006)/ Angels And Demons (2009)/ Inferno (2016)

Hanks’s portrayal of the symbologist is one of the major factors that lead to the movie’s success. After watching the movie, we will see his face while reading Dan Brown’s books. Langdon is clever, brave and has a good dry sense of humor backed by his affinity to talk while working. One of the reasons why I am giving this the top spot is because this is one of the roles of Hank’s I have watched and it made me his fan 🙂
