And finally, he  entered the mainstream A-list with memorable films and performances since Yuva (2004). Celebrating his birthday, here are the memorable Abhishek Bachchan performances,

Abhishek Bachchan’s debut film, garnered positive reviews. His performance earned a filmfare debut nomination.

 2. Yuva (2004)

The ice breaker in Abhishek’s career. The film that helped people recognise his talents and it got him accolades.

     3. Sarkar (2005)

Junior B plays Big B’s son. While Big B shines as the brilliant politician, his son is the brain.

 4. Bunty aur Babli (2005)

The success of this film made Abhishek Bachchan a major star. He plays a con artist. This is also the first collaboration of Father and Son duo, they don’t play father and son and it makes it more interesting.

     5. Kabhi alvida naa kehna (2006)

How difficult is it to be in a film with an ensemble that comprises of major stars? Abhishek steals the show with his charismatic portrayal, whether it is drama or comedy.

 6. Dhoom series

abhishek dhoom

I am purposefully not adding Dhoom 3, because for some reason the third installment was exclusively written for Aamir khan. Dhoom (2003) is Abhishek’s first major Blockbuster in his career that initially had back to back flop films. Even thought John Abraham and Hrithik Roshan was a challenge for him in Dhoom and Dhoom 2 (2006) respectively, at the end of the day Abhishek’s performance and his chemistry with Uday Chopra will be remembered.

 7. Guru (2007)

Abhishek plays the fictional representation of Dhirubhai Ambani. His performance was highly appreciated along with his chemistry with Aiswarya Rai.

 8. Dostana (2008)

Dostana is a memorable film in Abhishek’s career. He plays a guy to pretends to be gay and ended up having a popular image owing to his bromance with John Abraham.

9. Delhi 6 (2009)

delhi 6

Delhi 6 is one of the most underrated performances of Abhishek’s. The movie has a very good message about community and relationships.

10. Paa (2009)

Abhishek plays a politician who is determined. His son played by his real life father. Even though the show is stolen by his father, Abhishek was memorable in his role.

Honourable mentions:

Om Shanti Om

Abhishek plays himself. This 10 minute cameo is considered as one of his finest or funniest moments.

Salaam Namaste

Another memorable cameo of his, as an eccentric gynaecologist.

Happy New Year

The movie was so horrible that it earned all the negative reviews. The only redeeming quality was Abhishek’s performance.

Bluff master

Everything was bluff! That’s the attraction.

Kuch na kaho

The first film with Abhishek and his future wife.

The song Dus bahane was a massive hit, that had everytone singing.
